As every programmer did, the first sentences posted onto projects are always "Hello World". It seems that a common thing for a programmer. For me, it is a great change and makes a huge difference.
I am a big fan of speaking rather than doing, which is the opposite of a qualified programmer. Today, I make a decision to become a practical and effective quantitative psychological programmer and engineer. I have never thought today's coming. In past for years, all things about my professional development are non sense. I hardly spent time studying what I was supposed to do. Instead, it takes me a huge amount time to think the meaning of life and ideological difference among different cultures. Is it werid? Absolutely. However, I never regret about these things. Actually, it is this thing that make what I am doing now in a measure.
Regarding professional development, I spent past half semester clarifying what to do in the future and how to do it well. I devoted much time and energy to think through all these things. I was always wondering which way is the correct, or more specificly, the suitable way to choose. Now I think I found the right thing to do, that is, data scientist.
Although I did not have adequate background information or a working knowledge of mathematics/statistics, I have time, potential and passion. I know I have to change totally not only for my professional area, but also for life-related area.
I know every minutes living and studying in the U.S. is very valuable. I will go to any lengths to become a well-knowledgeable quantitative psychologist(as my domain and my account name of my email address).
To reach this aim, I should start learning how to code in R, Python as well as Java. What's more, I must have a good understanding of statistics as well as mathematics. I understand these things maybe hard to learn and hard to master, but I would still to go for it with no spare of effects.
Half semester went by, it is time to refresh yourself and restart!
